Wanyore dealt huge blow, Mwamba widen the gap

Top Fry Nakuru were on matchday 15 dealt a huge playoff blow after losing 33-12 to Kenya Harlequin in the penultimate round of the 2019/20 Kenya Cup.

Nakuru are seventh on 33 points and needed maximum points in their final two matches and hope other results go their way to make the playoffs. Nakuru's final match is against Western Bulls who were relegated on Saturday by Homeboyz after losing 6-56 at the Bull Ring.

It was a rare but sweet win for Kenya Harlequin who have had a season to forget after winning just four matches before the win over Nakuru. Saturday's win was also the first time Quins won back to back matches this season.

Mwamba RFC stayed within Kenya Cup playoffs positions after beating Impala Saracens 15-11 at Railways Club. They picked four points that saw them move to fourth on 38 points leapfrogging Oilers who lost 43-13 to KCB.
