UoE Trojans bagged their third of the season in the KRU Championship beating former Kenya Cup side Mombasa RFC 17-3 on Sat Feb 9, 2019 in Eldoret. 

Flanker Patrick Mwakina was shown a red card in the first half dealing Mombasa RFC a huge blow in the backrow and proved costly as fulltime score went UoE's way. 

It was Mombasa's fifth defeat of the season that sees them drop from fifth sixth as UoE remained ninth with 16 points. 

Match between Kisii RFC and Egerton Wasps that was set to be in Kisii was postponed according to the Kenya Cup while Kisumu RFC got a 24-0 walkover from Ngong Warriors.
