Strathmore Leos suffered their fifth defeat and remain winless in the 2018/19 Kenya Cup season as they went down 22-24 to Strathmore Leos on Saturday Dec 15, 2018.
It was Blak Blad's second win of the season which sees them stay with 10 points, four above 10th placed Menengai Oilers.
Kenya 7s international Arcadius Khwesa, Ted Okal and Edwin Mutoka ran over for Blad with Allan Ominde adding in three conversions and one penalty.
Leos have a mountain to climb as they remain bottom with only three points. ahead of their fixture against Mwamba in the first fixture of 2019. Blak Blad head to Homeboyz on January 12.
Mwamba RFC continued with winning ways this time round seeing Menengai Oilers 27-15. Four tries -two each from Tony Owuor and Mike Agevi lift Mwamba one place up to seventh with 12 points ahead of Homeboyz.
Tony Omondi converted only Owuor's try in the first half with his attempt to Agevi's touch down going wide but he scored a penalty to see his side lead 15-0. Azziz Anan scored Oilers' first try off a maul just before the interval.
Derric keyoga would score 10 points for Oilers -converting his own try and adding a penalty- to level things 15-15 but some good work by Collins Injera saw Agevi complete his brace and Mwamba go five clear.
Daniel Taabu came off the bench to convert Owuor's second after the latter also came from the bin to end the game 27-15.
After Christmas break, Mwamba head to winless Strathmore Leos as Oilers visit leaders Kabras Sugar.
