Saturday May 11, 2019 is set to be a semifinals day on the Kenya Rugby Union calendar as well as one final as the season nears the end.

Key highlight of the day will be the Kenya Cup semis between defending champions KCB and Kenya Harlequins as well as 2016 champions Kabras Sugar up against Mwamba RFC.

Quins reached semis after beating Impala 29-24 while Mwamba were 17-18 winners against Top Fry Nakuru in the quarters. Both Kabras and KCB qualified for direct semis after finishing first and second in the regular league.

Race to be promoted to the Kenya Cup comes to an end on the same afternoon as fout former sides seek a return to Kenya Rugby’s top tier league. Catholic Monks will kick-off the day against Kisumu RFC at Catholic University before Western Bulls plays USIU along Thika road.

Eric Shirley Shield semis will see Homeboyz II head to Kabras II as KCB II hosts Impala II. Both ESS semis kick-off at 4pm.

After sealing KRU Championship qualification last weekend, Northern Suburbs Cubs and Eldoret RFC will square out in the Nationwide final at Catholic University from 1pm.
