Kenya Simbas squad to play Zimbabwe in the Africa Gold Cup on Saturday was named on Thursday morning by head coach Ian Snook at RFUEA Grounds

Homeboyz loose-forward Dalmus Chituyi is up for his second cap after being named on the bench by Snook. His first game for Kenya was against Uganda in 2014 in Kampala.

Kenya Harlequin's Malcolm Onsando replaces Oliver Mangeni(benched) at lock from the squad that played Morocco a week ago. Forward Philip Ikambili (Homeboyz) and centre Leo Seje (Impala), who started last weekend’s 28-24 win away to Morocco in Casablanca, are ruled out of the Zimbabwe clash as Ikambili walked off concussed at the close of the first half while Seje sustained a toe injury towards the close of the match.

Darwin Mukidza moves from 10 to 12 as Biko Adema remains at fullback with Kenya Harlequins' Isaac Adimo named as fly-half. With Ikambili out, Elkeans Musonye - who missed the Morocco trip - starts at flank with Martin Owila making the bench.

Zimbabwe arrived in Nairobi on Wednesday afternoon. Both teams, Kenya and Zimbabwe, will hold training sessions on Thursday that are closed to the media.   Their captain's runs on Friday will take place at the RFUEA  Ground and are open to the media.

After the clash against Kenya, Zimbabwe will head to Tunis to take on hosts Tunisia who suffered a 118-0 defeat to Namibia last weekend.

Namibia's 100% start to the campaign(they beat Uganda 55-6), means they lead the six-team log with 10 points as Kenya Simbas follow with five points. Zimbabwe and Morocco picked  two points each from their 23-23 draw while Tunisia and Uganda remain with no points after their opening defeats.

Winner of the 2018 Africa Gold Cup will qualify for Japan 2019 World Cup as Africa 1 to join New Zealand, South Africa, Italy and repechage winner in pool B.

Runners-up will head to a global round-robin repechage tournament to be held in Europe in November 2018.
