Do yourself a favour and read the latest edition of the Jamhuri Echo. It's the number one newspaper in the new district of "Piano" along Ngong road that focuses on one of the biggest rugby clubs in East Africa, Nondies.
The Jamhuri Echo is described as the number one favourite newspaper of Nondescripts rugby club. No other Ngong-road side has a newspaper. Well, Homeboyz has an online magazine.
By the way, Nondies are not just any other club. These guys were the first rugby club in Kenya to have a physio, Aileen Taylor from Britain back in 1998/99.
As you may have read here or somewhere else, Nondies have a new home ahead of the "new season". Ngong Racecourse Piano district will host Kenya Cup matches with defending champions KCB set to be the first customer but at RFUEA Grounds due to doubleheader logistics.
The reason it's called "Piano" district is because of the now-famous Winning Post located inside the Racecourse or a few metres from the Nondies pitch. It's famous for the Amapiano genre of music; go there on Sunday afternoon and you'll wonder why everyone has a whistle and they are not Constant Cap or Goddie.
Apart from moving to Piano district, the Jamhuri Echo reports that Nondies have secured the services of Kenny Andola (backs), Joash Odalo (backs), Oliver Climb (forwards) and Hillary Itela (forwards) among others to join the technical bench under head coach Willis "Fox" Ojal.
Those who have joined the playing unit include Charles "Kichwa" Omosh and Samuel "Piano" Motari from Homeboyz and Impala, Eugene Odhiambo from Zetech and Alex Muganda from Machine.
Pretty sure by now the lads at Thika road have seen the Jamhuri Echo and will be releasing their matchday 23 later on Friday with the new changes at Piano district in mind.
