Repechage bound Kenya Simbas could be up against a largely Namibia U20 side in their planned test in Nairobi on 28 October, 2018.
News from Namibia denote the same, that head Coach Phil Davies wants to hand bubbling juniors and other fringe players a run out in Nairobi as they wish to prove themselves and stake a claim in the squad that will cross the seas to the 2019 World Cup in Japan.
“We will take the opportunity to include new blood from our outstanding U-20 players along with home based players who reach the fitness standards we need,” Davies was quoted by observer.com.na
The Namibia clash is planned after two others against British Army and South Africa's Loftus 200 - Blue Bulls. One more away to top 20 ranked Romania in Bucharest on 3 November are the shape up ties lined up as Kenya heads to Marseille, France in November to challenge Hong Kong, Germany and Canada for the 20th and final World Cup spot.
Kenya had a clear path to the World Cup after registering four straight wins in the African qualifiers over Morocco, Uganda, Zimbabwe and Tunisia only to fall at the last hurdle; 53-28 away to Namibia that destined them to the four-team repechage in France.
