Namibia name strong side to face Kenya

Centre Johan Deysel will captain Namibia in the last match of the Africa Gold Cup against Kenya Simbas on Saturday August 18, 2018 in Windhoek. 

Namibia have named a strong matchday 23 squad that is required to get any win or draw against Kenya to assure them a place in the 2019 Rugby World Cup to be held in Japan. 

Given Loubser starts at 10 with Eugene Jantjies being the scrum-half. Chrysander Botha is at fullback while vice-captain Pieter Jan Van Lill starts at 8.

Others named in the 23-man squad are PW Steenkamp, Justin Newman, Adriaan Booysen and AJ de Klerk.

Namibia is on top with 20 points as Kenya follows with 17. Kenya must beat Namibia with for them to head to Japan as Africa Cup winners.

The 2018 Africa Gold Cup is doubling up as qualifier for 2019 Rugby World Cup to be held in Japan with the competition's winner getting the sole ticket as Africa 1. 

Runners-up, Africa 2, will head to global repechage in France during the November test window for the last chance to qualify for the World Cup. They will play Canada, Germany and Hong Kong.
