Nairobi set for first international match in 2019
Nairobi's RFUEA is set to host the first interantional match this Saturday when Kenya Simbas welcome Zambia in the fifth round of the Victoria Cup.
Kenya Simbas haven't played a game at RFUEA in 2019 having hosted Uganda Cranes in Kisumu in June. Other matches were played in Kampala, Harare and Zambia.
The early kick-off, at 2pm, will be yet another opportunity for head coach Paul Odera to see his charges as he continues to prepare for the big goal that is qualification for 2023 Rugby World Cup.
"Purchase your advance tickets at Kshs.500/- via the KRU Pay bill number: 155550 and get ready for an afternoon of exhilarating 15s rugby at the RFUEA Grounds on 24th August," said KRU.
Kenya's last match was against Zimbabwe Sables who came from behind to win 30-29 Saturday August 2 in Harare. Kenya' next match after Zambia's visit will be Zimbabwe on September 21.
Victoria Cup continued last weekend with Kabras Sugar fullback Philip Wokorach scoring 15 points to help Uganda Cranes beat Zambia 38-22 to end their home run with a win at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds in Kampala.
