Mwamba win Dala 7s

Mwamba RFC beat 2017 champions Menengai Cream Homeboyz 17-0 to win Dala 7s on Sunday Sep 9, 2018 in Kisumu.

Sensational winger Daniel Taabu opened the scoring for Mwamba with an unconverted try to lead 5-0 at the interval before Kenya Sevens international Collins Injera doubled the lead in the second half. Captain Eliakim Kichoi would sprint 50m to score Mwamba's third which was converted to confirm the win. 

The two sides met at Prinsloo and Sepetuka 7s finals with Homeboyz winning both but it was Mwamba who had the upper hand in Driftwood's knockouts and now Dala 7s..

To reach cup final, Homeboyz were 19-12 winners over Impala while Mwamba beat KCB 20-7.

Impala Saracens finished third after a 12-7 win over KCB, Nondies beat Quins 19-7 to win the Plate, Challenge trophy went to Mean Machine who beat Menengai Oilers 19-14 while MMUST beat Blad 19-12 to finish 13th.
