Kenya unbeaten at Cape Town 7s

Kenya 7s finished day two of Cape Town 7s unbeaten and seal a place in Cup quarters set for Sunday in South Africa.

After winning the opening matches, 19-24 over Samoa and 7-12 over Australia, Kenya 7s closed the pool stage with a 24-24 draw with Ireland.

KCB trio of Vincent Onyala, Andrew Amonde and Johnstone Olindi we’re joined on the scoresheet by man of the moment Alvin Otieno with Daniel Taabu adding two conversions. 

Kenya and Ireland are unbeaten from pool D with Kenya finishing second to book South Africa at 12.18pm on Sunday.

Pool A winner is likely to be South Africa who play their last pool match later on Saturday evening.
