Kenya 7s squad to the 2019 Africa 7s that will double up as Tokyo 2020 Olympics qualifier will be captained by Andrew Amonde.
Kenya 7s technical director Paul Feeney named the squad on Friday but star Collins Injera missed out as he didn't recover in time the shoulder injury he suffered at Safari 7s.
Those who returned to the squad include Billy Odhiambo while Willy Ambaka, Nelson Oyoo and Jeff Oluoch return to help Kenya secure qualification.
Oscar Dennis, Vincent Onyala, Johnstone Olindi, Jacob Ojee, Bush Mwale and Alvin Otieno are others named.
"We've got very experienced players. Players who can play different positions and we can pick formations for different teams," said Feeney.
"We are happy with our preparations. If it comes down to the last minute like in 2015 it will. Safari 7s super us we've done good for now." "Injera comes to every training but wasn't ready."
"No problem with new format we have to beat whoever we play. Keep preparing well and do what the boys do best."
Kenya 7s is set to play Ivory Coast in the first round of the 2019 Africa 7s Men’s tournament set for November 8 in Jo’Burg, South Africa.

If Kenya beats Ivory Coast, they’ll proceed to pool B as B1 while rivals Zimbabwe are likely to be in Pool A as A1 may they beat Nigeria.
