The Kenya Rugby Union is calling for applications of four positions in Kenya 7s technical bench; that of Head coach, Strength and Conditioning coach, Team Manager as well as Physio.
Innocent Simiyu aka Namcos' is the current head coach, Geoffrey Kimani the S & C, Eric Ogweno the team manager and Lameck Bogonko the Physio. Contracts for all are due to expire.
There's a short window open, as applications for all the four positions must reach the Union by 7 September 2018.
Simiyu has been at the helm as head coach since mid October 2016 when he was hired to replace replace Benjamin Ayimba whose one year contract ran out at the close of September of that year.
He came in board at a time it had been presumed high achieving and long serving New Zealand coach Gordon Tietjens would be taking over.
Team manager Ogweno was hired at the same time as Simiyu taking over from former international Newton Ongalo.
Bogonko has been a familiar face as he got a chance to extend his services as Simiyu and Ogweno came on board. He previously served under South African Paul Treu and Felix Ochieng as well as Ayimba.
Kimani has been on and off at Kenya 7s as the S & C. He had been on-boarded alongside Ayimba but lost out to Englishman Ian Gibbons. He however left in a huff, after just two months, paving way for Kimani's return in August of 2017.
He, as well as Bogonko, were part of the bench that saw Kenya 7s win Singapore 7s in April of 2016 which stands as Kenya's only win in the World Seven's Series.
