Kenya 7s: Blak Blad duo named for Victoria Falls 7s duty

Blak Blad fly-half Levy Amunga is named in the Kenya Sevens squad to Victoria Falls Sevens set for this weekend in Zimbabwe.

The Kenya 7s squad to Victoria Falls 7s was released on Thursday by KRU, the same day they jetted to the Southern Africa nation.

Amunga comes to the team after good performances in the Kenya Cup and the national sevens circuit.

He is joined in the squad by his team mate Brian Wahinya and Impala Saracens half-back Mark Kwemoi making it a young squad under assistant coach Will Webster.

Ian Minjire, who in two occasions has been named a non-travelling sub to the World Series, makes the squad as well as Kenya Harlequins’ Frank Wanyama, Herman Humwa, Arthur Owira, Eric Ombasa, Augustine Lugonzo and Samuel Ngethe.

Impala winger Derrick Mayar and Bush Mwale of Homeboyz are also part of the team with Kenya grouped in pool B alongside hosts Zimbabwe, False Bay of South Africa, Lesotho and Zambia B.
