Kenyan internationals Collins Shikoli and Johnstone Olindi donated foodstuff to evicted families from Nairobi's Korogocho slums over the weekend.

Up to 50 families benefited from the noble act conducted by Shikoli and Olindi -who both won National Sevens circuit in 2018 with Menengai Cream Homeboyz.

"We were sited watching news (Myself and Olindi) and saw that the government had evicted these people from their premises in Korogocho slums and a good number of them were literally sleep outside. We felt touched and decided to accumulate the little we had and got some basic food stuffs and paid a visit on Sunday."

"This was touching because coincidentally both of us had gone through that kind of life growing up. More so ,Olindi spent all his child life in Kariobangi, so he knew how that felt."

"We managed to touch 50 families but still wasn’t enough. We decided not to stop here but take it to another level, where we’d frequently visit them at least monthly and make sure they at least have a meal. We would love any well wisher or NGOs to partner with us and at least put a smile on these faces."

Olindi's KCB and Shikoli's Homeboyz are waiting Kenya Cup playoffs that were put on hold due to Covid-19. Their last game was a meeting between their sides that ended 22-all.
