Ivory Coast and Madagascar registered wins on Wednesday 11 July as the Africa Gold Cup entered round two in Mufulira - Zambia and Toulouse-France.
Ivory Coast handed Senegal a 25-21 defeat in France as Madagascar saw off Botswana 64-18 in Zambia to stay on course ahead of the final round of games on Sunday. Ivory Coast and Madagascar led 13-7 and 33-13 at half time, respectively.

The latest results marked the end of the road for both Senegal and Botswana who had gone down in their opening games on Sunday. Zambia had beaten Botswana 32-13 as Algeria shocked Senegal 22-18.
Sunday games will determine respective pool winners who will go on to face off in late August in a playoff to determine the team that qualifies for the Africa Gold Cup in 2019. The final fixtures will see Zambia take on Madagascar as Algeria square it out with Ivory Coast.
After the Sunday games the the bottom placed team from the Africa Silver Cup will give way for promoted Ghana who recently won the Africa Bronze Cup.
