Kenya 7s international Oscar Dennis is set to get medevac to Cape Town, South Africa for further treatment after being involved in an accident on Tuesday evening.
The Nondies star will leave for Cape Town on Thursday after two days at Aga Khan hospital in Nairobi.
Dennis was on his bike at the junction of Bogani road and Quarry Lane in Karen, Nairobi when he was hit by a car with Kenya Rugby Union(KRU) saying the accident resulted in a seriously damaged leg.
Oscar Dennis, who has 20 caps HSBC World Sevens Series caps and 20 points, described the injury as “pretty bad, snapped above the ankle and foot and toes broken but am getting medivac to Cape Town”.
The 26-year-old arrived back in Nairobi this week from Bermuda where he featured and won World Tens Series with SX10 franchise side. On Wednesday, he was among 29 players invited by Kenya Rugby Union to start training for the upcoming HSBC World Sevens Series.
He was among 29 Kenya 7s players summoned by KRU to kick-off training on Tuesday after undergoing COVID-19 test on Monday but this injury will definitely keep him out, for now.
