He remains second in the most tries scored in Sevens career behind England's Dan Norton who has 261 tries.
Kenya ran in five tries and two conversions against Canada’s three unconverted touchdowns.
Sammy Oliech, Oscar Ayodi and Dennis Ombachi joined Injera on the score-sheet as N Hirayama and Pj Kay touched down for the Singapore 7s champions.
Kenya’s next match is against HSBC World Sevens Series reigning champions South Africa at 1.36pm before taking on Uganda at 6.30pm.
Other matches played on Friday morning saw the USA lose 14-22 to Argentina, New Zealand saw off Samoa 24-12, Wales lost 38-7 to Australia and Fiji put 50-7 past Russia.
