After the weekend games, Kenya Harlequins II aka Arturos now stands as the only unbeaten side in the Erich Shirley Shield (ESS) league.

The team whitewashed visiting Mean Machine II 89-0 at the RFUEA on Saturday for a fifth straight season win that sends them top with 24 points.

Arturos dislodged last year’s finalists KCB Cubs whose unbeaten run at the weekend was brought to an end at the Nairobi Railways Club after going down to hosts Mwamba II 20-16.

A bonus point earned from that loss sees KCB Cubs down to second with 21 points.

Homeboyz II went up a place, from fourth to third after dismissing hosts Strathmore II 33-13 at Makadara grounds.

Dominic Mose and Ian Omondi each landed two tries and Gabriel Odero touched down once to boost Homeboyz II as Edwin Wafula made four conversions.

With 19 points Champions Impala Saracens II who had no fixtures at the weekend have now fallen from second to fourth.

The tie between Blak Blad II and Thika II failed to take place at the Kenyatta University grounds after the latter failed to turn up.

After their second win of the season from three games Mwamba II has now improved to nine points but will remain sixth in the standings two points behind Strathmore II.

Mean Machine is seventh with five points, the same as Blad II who are now eighth. Nondies II and Thika II take the last two positions.
