The 2015/16 Eric Shirley Shield that features the reserve and second tier side of Kenya Cup teams kicks off on Saturday along with five games on the cards.
Champions Impala start their title retention against Kenya Harlequins who finished ninth last season in a Ng'ong derby to be played from noo at the Impala club.
Last year's beaten finalists and 2013/2014 winners KCB II will open their campaign at 2pm against new boys Thika RFC II at the USIU grounds.
Nondescript II have a mountain to climb as they face Homeboyz II at 2pm in a showground derby while other new boys Kenya Sharks II will be travelling to Kakamega at 2pm to face fourth finishers Kabras Sugar II.
This year's Eric Shirley Shield will be played in a whole new format, with the 14 participating clubs split into three groups. The ten clubs in Nairobi and its immediate periphery make up Region A and B that is composed of five teams each.
Four teams to the West, and outside Nairobi will form Region C.
