Deserving Bungoma Sharks are through to the Kenya Cup for the 2015/16 season after seeing off hosts Eldoret Trojans 10-24 in a semi final tie played at the Eldoret Sports Club on Saturday 7 March.

The Bungoma based side trailed the hosts 10-7 at half time then added 17 unanswered points in the second half to book a place in the Nationwide finals set for 14 March at the RFUEA Grounds.

The win at Eldoret marked Shark’s incredible run - and rise, improving their winning streak to 14 straight games (some walkovers included).

To have booked Eldoret in the semis, Sharks did a 951km trip to Ukunda last weekend to see off stubborn hosts South Coast Pirates 0-5.

Eldoret Trojans on their part ended Impala Bucks nine-game unchecked run with a 17-20 win at the Impala grounds in the same weekend to make the last four.

Sharks, who now claim one of the spots in the top flight vacated by Catholic Monks and Mombasa RFC, will meet the winner from the other semi between Thika RFC and Egerton Wasps in the Nationwide final on Saturday 7 March at the RFUEA grounds.
