Blad stage comeback to earn a draw

Blak Blad and Menengai Oilers played to a 12-12 draw in the second round of the Kenya Cup season on Saturday, March 6, 2021, in the early kick-off at RFUEA Grounds.

Oilers led 0-5 in the first half and took even took it further before the 50th minute going 0-12 up but the Kenyatta University side replied through two tries with one conversion going in to secure two points.

Timothy Okwemba scored Oilers' unconverted try in the first half with Geoffrey Ominde converting Austin Sikutwa and Oiler's second of the afternoon. Loose-head Humphrey Litali started the comeback for Blad in the 51st minute with Kelvin Gathu adding the extras although he didn't convert ending the game 12-12.

Matchday three will see Menengai Oilers host Top Fry Nakuru in the Nakuru derby while Blak Blad will make a short trip to champions KCB.
