Africa Gold Cup enters round 2

2018 Africa Gold Cup enters second round on Saturday June 23, 2018 with two matches on the card in North and Southern Africa.

Kenya and Tunisia kick-off their campaign as Morocco and Namibia play their second matches. Kenya is on the road to Morocco in Casablanca for a 7pm kick-off while Namibia entertain Tunisia 5pm, all matches LIVE on Kwese TV. 

The match in Casablanca takes place 11 years to the day Kenya posted a 23-16 win over the Moroccans in Nairobi and will also give the team an opportunity to register their first ever win on Moroccan soil after losses on their two previous visits to Morocco, 29-3 on 7 May 2005 and 29-11 on 11 July 2009. 

Tunisia returns to Windhoek for a second year in a row after losing 53-7 in 2017 but went ahead to survive relegation after bagging a win over Senegal. 

The winner of the competition(2018 Africa Gold Cup) will qualify for Rugby World Cup 2019 in Japan as Africa 1, joining reigning champions New Zealand, South Africa, Italy and the repechage winner in Pool B. 

French referee Sebastien Minery will officiate the match between Morocco and Kenya with Haykel Bahroun of Tunisia and Ignace Ndri Kan of Ivory Coast being AR1 and AR2 respectively. 

South Africa Rugby Union referee Quinton Immelman returns to Namibia to oversee the hosts take on Tunisia as Zimbabwean duo of Desmond McDonnell and Precious Pazani is named as assistants while Kenya's Justus N'Goche will do citing. 

Kenya Rugby Union chairman Richard Omwela will be the Judicial official as Kenya Cup referee Godwin will be the match commisionner.
